The crew of the Shuttle Endeavour have retrieved a satellite that they released into space two days ago to study solar wind.

These streams of charged particles that hurtle away from the sun are proving problematic as they disrupt radio and satellite communications on earth.

Astronauts onboard the space shuttle `Endeavour' today successfully collected a research satellite they had released into space on Friday.

The `Spartan' satellite has been flying freely in space since Friday collecting data on solar wind.

The science satellite's mission is to study these winds that disrupt satellite and radio signals on earth.

The shuttle `Endeavour' is due to release another satellite on Monday as it continues its eleven day space trip.
